Prayer Walking - Faithful to the Call

Mari and I, have been faithful to the burden God has placed on our hearts to prayer walk a different community every Friday. This week we did not walk, we parked the van on 8th Street (a main business area in our city,) and prayed right were we could see all the traffic. We may not have walked, but we still journeyed to another location to pray.

One of the main topics that was upon our hearts was in the area of breaking strongholds in the life's of our loved ones. It seems life is not easy for either of us, but through it all, we both have joy that only comes from God's heart.

Sounds like James words..."Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when ever you face trials of many kinds..." James 1:2

We used a prayer from "Shattering your Srongholds,"found on page 171, by Liberty Savard.

I am thankful to have prayer partners like Mari, who are faithful to come along side and intercede. Praying for teens, holiday shoppers, our pastors, and church family, were some of the other prayer concerns. We asked God to continue to call forth others who are burdened to pray for their local community.

From the Message a verse from 1Peter 2:12 that is worth pondering concerning loved ones not following the Lord: "Live an exemplary life among the natives so that your actions will refute their prejudices. Then they'll be won over to God's side and be there to join in the celebration when he arrives."

Amen!
