Angus Dei

Alleluia alleluia
For our lord God almighty reigns
Alleluia alleluia
For our lord God almighty reigns
Alleluia

Holy holy
Are you lord God almighty
Worthy is the lamb
Worthy is the lamb
You are holy
Holy
Are you lord God almighty
Worthy is the lamb
Worthy is the lamb
Amen

Michael W. Smith

In my research travels, all I could find were these words from Michael W. Smith. The version I have is done in Latin, it is totally beautiful. The meaning for Angus Dei is, "Lamb of God." During worship this morning, I mediated on these English words they are simple, but heart searching. I really enjoy the sacramental songs done in Latin, this is what I love about the traditional churches, the wonderful instrumental music and deep meanings to hymns. A few more favorites are Pange Lingua, Laudate Dominum, Ave Verum Corpus, and Tantum Ergo. These classical worship songs send my heart and spirit soaring to heavenly places.
