With Eyes of Faith (Please Read Post First)

Over a year ago, with timidity and indecisiveness, facebook became part of my life. During this time what has fascinated me is how I have linked up with a younger generation. Several on my friend list are not Christ followers, and they are from another generation, which is awesome. Facebook has given me an opportunity to pray for each of them, and experience a few aspects of their daily life. Without my facebook connections I would not be in contact with them. On one friends page was posted this youtube video titled, "Sasquatch music festival 2009 - Guy starts dance party." I am posting this to my blog with hesitation, but it is interesting to watch with the eyes of faith. One guy starts dancing, and within three minutes the whole festival turned into a dance feast. The song lyrics as I could understand them go something like this: “I have a faith unstoppable, I have faith unstoppable.” This video has me wondering if there something wrong with this whole pictur

Global Day of Prayer Incentives

On May 18th, I posted a youtube announcement for the Global Day of Prayer on May 31, 2009. I did not take the time to see if there was a link for prayer incentives to lead a group. Yipeng from Mark by Faith posted a link for prayer guides and audio prayers for the next 10 days. If you are interested it is never to late to start. He is posting the daily prayer on his blog, it can also be found through this link: Global Day of Prayer Incentives for the next 10 days. Script and Audio Prayers: Many people will not be able to physically attend the 10 Day Prayer gatherings or the Global Day of Prayer event. In order to include these people, we have incorporated audio recordings and the accompanying scripts of prayers for each of the 10 Days, the Prayer for the World as well as a Radio Advertisement to be used in Radio broadcasts, hospitals, prisons etc. I am going to use the daily prayer guide during my own prayer time, since I do not have contact with a local prayer group focused on th

Lost Skin

Well I had a major crash on my blogger about an hour ago and lost my skin! Hope no one saw the ugly green that is under chocolate beach skin. I have no time to mess around with my blog today, which means some of the gadgets are missing. I was trying to set up a blog for my seniors and clicked the revert to classic button. My advice don't mess with that button! Well, at least my skin is back, however I lost all my friends! I am adding the friend gadget please join again! I just added my gadget and my friends came back! Yeah!! No need to join again unless you want to! OOPS that is my followers and friends came back!

Global Day of Prayer 2009--Sunday May 31.

Isaiah 56:7 "For My house will be called a house of prayer for ALL nations." I remember when an intercessor friend of mine went to South Africa, in 2001 for the first Global Day of prayer. How exciting it is to know God's people are still responding to His global call to pray as one body, eight years later. Greater things are yet to come!

Our Companion Stress

Image
I have been praying today about a mountain in my life I am having difficultly climbing, I feel like my knees and ankles are giving out, and I am considering letting go. I have been praying all morning asking God to give direction on whether I should push in with stress and continue to climb, or let go. My mind and feelings at the moment want to take the easy way by releasing the mountain. Have you ever climbed a mountain? If you do not have a firm commitment, strong knees, ankles, and arms you will not make it to the top! I have experienced it personally and you never forget the climb, even if you don't make it to the summit. As usual right after I prayed, and spoke my concern to my husband and close friends a revelation entered my life. I opened an email from my aunt with a link to a web page titled Enjoy the Ride . If you have a moment it is worth taking a few minutes to view. I am still on the theme the Climb, by the way, Miley's video is amazing and the words go deep

Miley Cyrus - The Climb - Official Music Video (HQ)

Each of us have mountains we need to climb, we must never give up no matter what age we are or the circumstance. Stand firm in Christ and we will make it! Remember no matter how hard the climb is we must embrace it, and continue to push in keeping the faith. The Apostle Paul told Timothy: "Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight, holding on to faith, and a good conscience." 1 Timothy 1: 18-19 My prayer for all who are struggling today with a mountain is that you will not give up, you will push in, and fight the good fight of faith, standing firm in Christ staying on the narrow way right until the end. Keeping the faith! Love to all, Robin P.S. I just might go to a Hanna Montana movie!

Rain

Image
I am not sure what I was doing and the picture is rather unclear (it is from my daughters camera). However, I like it because it shows how it was raining, and the garden is still beautiful. I love this picture too! I felt like I was dancing in the rain through the tulips. "He will be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth." (Psalm 72:6 NIV) It is a funny thing, I have nothing to add to this post so it will remain as is. Love to all. Robin

“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him… Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” (Isaiah 30:18, 21) I have numerous stories to share from the last three weeks, my problem is I do not know where to begin. With this dilemma, I have decided to share my favorite picture taken at the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C. Canada, to start the process. It is good to be back home the only problem is I came back to lots of work. It is overwhelming to start back into routine, it was great to be free for a few weeks. My goal over the next several weeks is to share parts of the journey that refreshed my soul. I look forward to being part of the blogging community once again. The trip to B.C. was the start of a new beginning in many ways. God is always gracious with second chances. The Butchart Gardens were a

In 2 Words

Someone on twitter was asked to describe themselves in two words, what a great idea. So off the cuff here is how I would describe myself in two words: simple, loving . How would you describe yourself in 2 words? I am off to my class in Regina until Saturday night, then my family is off to Victoria B.C until May the 12. I am not sure if I will have time to post before we leave, if you don't hear from me for the next two weeks you know why! I have a goal not to blog until I arrive home. I hope to have some great pictures and stories to share. Love to all... Robin
