Stuck was the Theme Word

Image
Picture and Quote from Living Simply “Remember, we all stumble, every one of us. That’s why it’s a comfort to go hand in hand.” –Emily Kimbrough I really did not have time to post today, but felt I needed to share a part of my journey from last week. Have you noticed that when God wants to bring a revelation and if you are willing to except it, everywhere you go or look there are points along the way to reflect upon as you journey towards having a revolution of changing heart desires. My journey started with the word stuck last week at the grief share class I facilitate every Monday. As I journeyed through the week this word and theme kept coming up to my catch my attention. I read both the gospels of Mark and Luke, pages from a history text, and a book by Kathleen Norris, titled Acedia & Me. As I read through each of these books, the word “stuck” stood out even more and became even clearer. I would like to share a prayer that came out of last Monday n...

Rainbow

Image
I am not sure if I prefer a rainy summer or a summer of drought. This year on/in the Northern Prairies rain has been abundantly released! It has rained non-stop for the last three days, craziness. The bonus: My flowers are huge! However, because of the wet weather they are just starting to bloom and it is August. And there has been some amazing declarations of God's goodness towards us displayed in the heavens. Genesis 9:16--"Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth." Ezekiel 1:28--"Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was...

Longing for Spring

Image
February on the Prairies is a month (for me and others) that awakens the longing within for spring. Long cold days of winter can cause a persons soul to become exhausted and weary longing for the warmth of the sun to permeate through deadness, bringing rejuvenation to the bones. After church my husband surprised me by taking me out for lunch, then we went and sat in the civic conservatory . The moment I entered the conservatory my soul came alive. The Daffodils, and Tulips were in full bloom and music filled the air. A young man was playing his banjo, creating an atmosphere of delight, wonder, and healing. The wonderful bright sunny colours and warm smells captured a part of me, which was falling asleep or entering the s.a.d.s ( seasonal affective disorder. ) In the month of February at the conservatory you will find Kalanchoe , Primula Malicoides , Daffodils, Tulips, and Muscari in full bloom. The conservatory was fully alive with new growth and colour...
