After taking a break from blogging I have been wrestling with writing again. I have started a new blog titled the second half of the journey.

Warren Baldwin presented a good thought yesterday on why we might not blog often, "We simply do not schedule it in!" This makes sense.
I am currently working on a course on the Gospel of Matthew, a caution from the professor was to be diligent to schedule Robinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17587313198284377961noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12082946.post-52683325400750331802011-04-26T16:00:00.003-06:002011-04-26T16:15:45.574-06:00Starting Again! What a morning this day ushered in, and now it is the afternoon, and the first thunderstorm of the year is creating amazing sounds outside! The rain will hopefully wash away some of the dirt left from winter’s long white covering. New life is welcomed. I must say, it will be good to see green cover the stark nakedness of the trees in my yard once again. Days, weeks, and months will go by without anyone asking how they are or how their souls are being nurtured. It seems no one cares. Maybe I do not care enough? A few weeks ago, my husband and I took a retreat away from the city to a cabin in the woods, by a lake--sounds like a strange thing to desire in the midst of winter, but is was truly amazing. I would take up the challenge again.
Heating the cabin with a wood stove was interesting, we are not used to it and were concerned that if we let the fire go out the cabin would be to cold. Hi Everyone,
I sure have not been faithful to writing on my blog. I have been learning about silence and it seems to have rubbed off on my writing. In November I hurt my foot, and life went into a whirl, tonight is the first time since October I have been on my blog. It does feel good to write. Over the last six month's numerous task, responsibilities, and request were added to my already full day-timer, which left me longing for a break in routine. Longing to have moments even days to focus only my relationship with God.

"I will never"...were the words that flooded my mind when I first thought of the idea of actually speaking on a Sunday morning in my Church.
First, I really never thought I would be asked. Secondly, I did not believe I could actually speak without throwing up or completely shaking in my shoes or shuddering uncontrollably. In Mark 12:29-30, when asked what are the great commandments Jesus states it is to love God and others as yourself. Okay, this sounds great and easy, but to actually walk it out in daily life can be a daunting task.
